When it came to creating my website I decided to keep my options in design simple, which reflects my personal lifestyle...sometimes, for some, simplicity is more.  Having spent two amazing years living abroad on the North Island of New Zealand, I acquired a much different perspective on life.  I learned that it was okay to slow things down and really take time out to stop and smell the flowers.  Life is simply too short not to try and get out of it as much as you can, but without the worry and headaches of a "Keeping up with the Joneses" lifestyle.

You may also be curious as to what KARA stands for.  Well, in a nutshell, I am one of those hyphenated people in the world whose full name doesn't fit anywhere. You know, like in those little squares on a questionnaire form, on a name tag or the front of a bankcard to name a few!  To keep it short and sweet on my creative work, I decided to just abbreviate my name with my initials and wing it from there.

When I am not busy teaching myself the DIY basics of how to design personal web pages or working a day job for a tax assistance firm (I am one of those fortunate few who can work remotely from home in her pajamas!), I can be found spending my nights working to turn my passion of wanting to write the next best selling novel into a reality **crosses fingers, prays, crosses fingers again**...I truly believe that with motivation, hard work and confidence anyone can achieve their goals and dreams! My fiction novel, The Island's Light, is now available for purchase in paperback on Amazon Books.

My other loves in life include popcorn-filled Netflix nights, hitting the local flea markets & antique shopping, bowling & billiards and spending time of course, with friends and family!
